BS/MS Student
Background
I was raised in Silicon Valley, so many people in my life were amused when I predictably chose to study engineering. If you think that alone makes me nerdy enough already, guess again - I spend a lot of my free time playing chess and reading science fiction. I also enjoy surfing and hiking.
RESEARCH
My research focuses on tuning machine parameters for the laser powder bed fusion process (additive manufacturing) to control porosity in metals, which could have useful applications in areas such as the biomedical and aerospace industries.
